I purchased this to use in my very dark (when the light is off) hallway, but since I have a dimmer switch, which takes up the entire electrical box space, I couldn't use it there. I was bummed and wish this would have worked on it, but I had another light switch and installed it on the other one instead. The light is bright enough that if I needed to find the light switch, I could, but not so bright as it is blinding or keeps me awake at night. I only wish it had come with instructions because the little switch on the front left was unclear. After installed I realized that the switch set far left is "off"; the middle is, I believe, "auto" and far right is "always on", because I have an automatic light switch in my entryway and that is how the manual switch works, so I figured this is how this works too. Plus, the instructions said something like, "if cover doesn't work for your switch, see other instructions", but there weren't any. Otherwise, I'm happy with the switch cover.
