LED rope lights and string lights illuminate Atlanta Botanical Garden

As LED rope lights and string lights grow in popularity in households across the country, more of these energy-efficient fixtures are being used to create decorative lighting displays in public areas. In addition to brightening locations during the holiday season, LED rope lights and string lights are helping communities save money on utility costs.

Recently, the Lighting Science Group designed a winter wonderland display at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. The staff at the garden creates a lighting display each year, but this season, they chose to primarily use LED rope lights and string lights to introduce holiday cheer.

"Lighting Science Group's brilliant LED fixtures have transformed the Gardens into a breath-taking Christmas landscape that will delight thousands this time of year, all while preserving the sort of environmental integrity that does justice to the natural magnificence of the Garden's living collections," said Cathleen Hunt, the Atlanta Botanical Garden's exhibition manager.

The goal of the Atlanta Botanical Garden is also to raise awareness of these energy-efficient fixtures. LED rope lights and string lights can help reduce utility costs and improve sustainability over time.
