LED rope lights, string lights and bulbs are growing in demand as more people look for energy-efficient ways to illuminate large spaces. However, not all LEDs are sold to homeowners – more sectors are beginning to look into these green fixtures to save money on utility costs.
Recently, the Diamond Jo Casino in Iowa installed LED lights from Cree to reduce energy consumption and lower their expenses while keeping the venue bright. LED spotlights have now been installed throughout the 188,000 square-foot facility to enhance the aesthetics of it while providing adequate illumination for patrons.
"By upgrading our casino with energy-efficient LED lighting we are continuing our commitment to saving money, sustainable practices and improving the quality of life in the community in which we work and live," said Todd Moyer, the general manager of the Diamond Jo Casino.
LED rope lights, string lights and bulbs come in a number of different colors and can often be altered according to the desired brightness by the user. In addition to using less energy than incandescents, they also require less maintenance, which makes them optimal in public venues.
