LED lights are stylish, modern and design-friendly – and one Texas teen has turned them into a fashion statement by incorporating them into her prom dress.
Carmen Montgomery, a senior at Lindale High School, crafted her prom dress entirely out of duct tape as part of the 12th annual "Stuck at Prom" scholarship giveaway, says KSLA. But that's not all – she also made her gown glow with tons of twinkling LED lights.
"I like being different, I like looking different, I like doing different things, it's a hobby I guess," Montgomery told the source.
You can use LEDs to make your home a little more unique, too. LED rope lights come in all kinds of colors to fit into any decor, and can give your home a cool, natural glow that mimics daylight.
Try rope lighting in the bedroom, kitchen and living room for a romantic touch.
