LED rope lights have firmly moved out of the realm of “novelty lights” and into mainstream lighting. There is no reason to be surprised either, LED rope lights are by far one of the most efficient, flexible and cost efficient lighting sources available. Here are some LED rope light ideas that might get your imagination going. Furniture Glow: LED rope lights are perfect for giving all your furniture an underneath glow, thereby adding a soft ambience to the surrounding area. Furthermore, the glow could act like a natural nightlight, which would be great if you want to find your way through the room in the middle of the night. The rope lights would look great under bed frames, tables, the couch, or in the bathroom. You can easily install them with special clips or even glue. Bookshelf Lighting: Bookshelves are not necessarily stuffed with books; you find pictures, medals, trophies, and other things as well. However, while bookshelves may be used for a design element, rather than for a practical purpose, it stands to become very dull unless it is properly illuminated. The traditional solution was to try to move the bookcase directly under a standing light or even place a lamp in the middle. A more costly choice was to install custom lights. However, the best solution would be LED rope lights, simply install this along the back of the shelf (so it remains out of sight). If you want, you could also run one strand along the area that contains pictures or other items. One of the best things about adding LED rope lights to your furniture in general is that it is extremely flexible and blends in nicely with virtually every type of furniture. However, pay close attention to your preparation since otherwise you could damage your furniture.
