Solar lighting becoming popular for gardeners

There is nothing better than showing off your gardening efforts with a well-planned lighting scheme to improve the facade of your home. However, buried-wire electric lighting can be costly and impractical. Small solar panels coupled with LED fixtures could be the best way to light your pathways and flower beds with renewable lighting, according to The Republic.

Jamie Durie, author and host of HGTV's The Outdoor Room, has found solar lighting and LED fixtures to be a staple in his outdoor lighting schemes.

"First, light your perimeter. It gives some perspective and is a creative way to show the boundaries of your property," Durie told the news source. "Feature trees and other features with up-lighting, or by attaching solar lights to walls and fences."

Small solar panels can be placed in strategic areas around your yard to gain the maximum sun exposure, so that your lighting can remain brilliant during the night time. Be adventurous, and try to use varying light hues to create a one-of-a-kind design.

String lighting such as LED polka dot string lights are tailor-made for outdoor lighting. They are engineered for greater light dispersal to illuminate trees and shrubs with ease.
