We purchased the red rope lighting 3 years ago. they have remained as bright as when they were new. We are now looking at the RGB and wondering if a soft white is included in the RGB role.

I purchased these 4 wire RGB LED's from BD 3 years ago and, simply, these are the "pinnacle" when it comes to Xmas lights. Initially, I purchased one 65' roll of lights, but the moment that I rec'd them and was checking them out in my garage, I realized that I needed more! Thus, I immediately ordered the 2nd roll. (Yes, I should've ordered the 150' spool, but was hesitant because of cost...these lights are not cheap and I wanted to see the quality before investing any more hard earned dollars) Nonetheless, these lights are fantastic...quality is great, the lights are very bright and the colors are incredible. The 8 sequence controller shipped with this product is fine for your first year (....or 2nd...or), but we ordered the deluxe controller which gives us many more options for the lighting. was "scary" at first, but when I had to make custom lengths for different parts of our decorations, the cutting/splicing went smoothly. Just follow the instructions...simple enough. I called Customer Service once (forget why?) and they were pleasant and helpful. Surprisingly, I haven't had any issues with these lights.
They've been in the rain, the wind...(no snow in this part of Calif..). Each year, I've unspooled them and they've worked perfectly. I've not lost one single LED throughout the whole 130' length.
Again, I've spliced them into different lengths using the "Y" cords and the extension cords (both sold here). Without getting too techy, note that these are 120v lights (you need this voltage/current to drive the length of these ropes).
Oh yes, get plenty of the mounting clips to help installation. Careful with the mounting "tracks" though...I've purchased them, and for the life of me, I cannot get my rope lighting into the damn things. Still, I'm really happy with these lights. One final thing, BD has the absolute best pricing for these lights, By purchasing them here, I saved hundreds of dollars. Don't believe me...just check it out. I challenge you ;-)
P.S. in our neighborhood, we have the "Xmas house". These lights are a major part of it!!!

Advantages: Light reliability, color, and brightness. The intensity is incredible.

Disadvantages: Not really a disadvantage, but when you're hanging your lights, another person (my wife helps perfectly...) to help 'wrangle the rope" is helpful.
