New Detroit Tigers scoreboard will feature LED lights

Comerica Park, home of the Detroit Tigers baseball team, is getting an upgrade. The revamped stadium will feature a brand-new left field scoreboard with energy-efficient, super-bright LED lighting technology.

According to the Detroit News, the new scoreboard will be among the largest video screens in professional sports – ranking fourth in baseball – and will be the most expansive screen of its kind in the state of Michigan.

The scoreboard will feature LED lights that can change colors to reflect different moments. In fact, all the screens at Comerica Park will be converted to LED lighting in order to save on electricity and maintenance. LED lights rarely need replacing and use only a fraction of the energy that incandescent bulbs use.

You can make use of LED lighting's benefits in your own home, too. LED rope lights are an excellent and durable option for outdoor patios, decks and and cabanas – lending a cool, natural glow to just about any spot.
