Sony debuts television using LED lights at Consumer Electronics Show
Every year, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is a place where LED lighting manufacturers look to exhibit their latest gadgets that they hope will change the industry. Those who think that LED rope lights and bulbs are all the same are typically blown away at what they find at the CES, which becomes more competitive each year.
One company that gave its competition a run for its money at this year's show was Sony. The electronic manufacturer debuted a new television set which uses more than 6 million LED lights to create a crystal clear picture, according to CNET.com. Sony is one of the first companies to attempt to use LED lights in its television sets.
Although it's just a prototype, Sony may be giving other electronic companies similar ideas to create products that can do the same. LED lights may become the future of television manufacturing if it proves to be a viable way to develop better screen resolution.
LED rope lights and bulbs are becoming popular in households across the country for a number of reasons. In addition to being energy-efficient, they also have a longer lifespan than incandescent and fluorescent lights.
